Tax Collectors Office
Penn Forest Township residents will be receiving spring tax bills via the mail. In April, residents will receive the tax bill for Carbon County and the Per Capita bill for the municipality. The supervisors approved zero (0) mills for municipal taxes in 2021 so residents will not be receiving a PFT municipal tax bill for 2021. During the month of August the residents will receive the Jim Thorpe Area School District tax bill. Residents should review their tax bills carefully – each sheet is for a different tax.
While the supervisors have worked to keep municipal taxes as low as possible, residents can keep their own bill low by making a prompt payment. Residents have 3 options for paying their bills, (1) the first date is the discount period payment date, (2) the second date listed is the normal/regular payment date, and (3) is the late payment date. If taxes are not paid by the normal / regular payment date, penalties will accrue.
If you are in need of tax information, please call the Tax Collector, Josiah (Jay) W. H. Behrens, III at (484) 464-5594 during normal business hours or visit him at the township office, side red door.
